Development proposal for Lower Parliament Street
The largest commercial real estate investment trust in South Africa appointed Making of Cities to undertake a situational assessment of the development potential of Lower Parliament Street in Cape Town, where it owns properties.
This historic precinct hosts informal traders, flower sellers (which go back to early 20th century), 2.4 million commuter feet per month, and complex sets of relationships between transport, anti-social and economies.
The development proposal was at concept stage.
